Where do we go from here?

Cuban women made huge advances in the twentieth century. They went from living in a machismo society where they were seen as destined to serve as housewives to a society where they were proven combatants and social leaders. Cuba is consistently ranked as one of the best nations in regards to gender equality, and it is thanks to the hard work and determination that has persisted through the years. However, their work needs to continue. Although they are legally equal, they still have advances to be made socially. Yet, they are still being represented exponentially more than in the past. The future is nothing but up for Cuban women.
